In December 2005 Relatime Zambia was successful in being chosen as the preferred last mile service provider (PLMSP) by Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) for their Fiber Optics Network that links 8 towns in the Copperbelt. Subsequently, a joint venture was signed in March 2009, partnering the two organisations.
The Partnership combines the strength of CEC's world class Fiber Optics Network and know-how with Realtime Zambia's best-of-breed service to deliver fiber and wireless communication solutions to customers across Zambia.
The last mile Fiber Technology is aimed at providing Realtime Zambia clients with reliable, fast and efficient broadband. Currently, last mile Fiber Optics Technology is available to the following areas in Zambia:
-> Central Business Districts (CBD) of Lusaka, Kitwe, Ndola, Chingola, Chililabombwe, Luanshya and Mufulira.
-> Other towns to soon get connected are Kabwe, Kapiri Mposhi, Kalulushi, Choma, Livingstone and Mazabuka.
More Recently Realtime Zambia has setup a Fiber Optics link between Sesheke and Lumwana and metropolitan fiber loops that allow is to provide end-to-end Fiber Optic solutions to our customers as well as links to the rest of the world.
